MOHIT SHAH — MUMBAI
Interior designer & space planner with three decades of practice — designing functional, ageless interiors around harmony, rhythm and balance.
01 — Philosophy
“The most remarkable feature of any design is the philosophy it comes from.”
Good design doesn't date. Discover the language of ageless style.
02 — A little about me
I'm Mohit Shah, Principal Design Consultant at mohitshah.space, Mumbai. I graduated from the LS Raheja School of Architecture and Interior Design in 1992 — a journey now spanning three decades of professional service in interiors, furniture and space planning.
My training began with a B.Com and a diploma in interior design & decoration, but my real education came from looking closely: historical places, stones with extraordinary tales, black-and-white photography, sketching, astronomy, and long travel. Photography taught me how to find the focal point; writing taught me how to hold it.
Today I work from Borivali East, Mumbai — planning spaces, designing furniture, and guiding each project from distribution to the smallest detail. Designs and art forms have always been central to me.
03 — What I do
Every commission follows the same discipline: distribution, pieces, finishes — translated into a buildable budget.
